Volunteer with ACCESS

Get involved and make a difference in our community!

ACCESS volunteers help us build community in Jackson County!

In 2020, ACCESS volunteers generously gave nearly 45,000 hours of their time to help make a difference in our community. Volunteers just like you are the reason that ACCESS helps 1 in 4 Jackson County residents annually and is able to provide the highest level of assistance to our most vulnerable neighbors.

Anyone who has some time to spare and wants to assist those in our community can volunteer with ACCESS and help provide valuable resources to those that need them most.

My business/church/group/family would like to volunteer, what can we help with?

Wonderful! Volunteer groups are especially appreciated in our food bank warehouse. We welcome groups of all sizes to help us re-pack food in our warehouse to be distributed in food banks throughout Jackson County. Please fil out the volunteer application to let us know your group would like to help in our warehouse!

What is the time commitment for volunteering?

Most volunteer opportunities last between 2 to 4 hours, however they can be longer depending on the volunteer responsibilities. We have opportunities for those who can only volunteer occasionally and also for those who are able to commit to a weekly schedule. This will be discussed with the volunteer coordinator once your application has been received.

“I love knowing that the time I spend volunteering with ACCESS directly improves the lives of those I come in contact with when I volunteer. I know I am making a difference.
