It’s Raining Peanut Butter at Kelly’s Automotive Service

(Jackson & Josephine Counties, OR) – For the 5th year, Kelly’s Automotive Service is trading peanut butter for windshield wipers! Just bring in 36 ounces or more of peanut butter, almond butter, soy butter or sun butter and they will install a pair of windshield wipers, up to $35.00 in value, on your car.

All of this much needed protein will be donated to ACCESS Food Share and the Josephine County Food. After the holidays are over donations drop at the food banks, but hunger does not stop.

Children Represent 33% of the Hungry:
• Hunger negatively impacts learning, health, productivity, and potential for both children and adults.
• Children who are hungry have more difficulty learning in school, and childhood hunger and malnutrition can lead to irreversible health problems later in life.

Peanut butter is easily stored and gives much needed protein for those who are hungry.

“Twenty-three years ago, I was a single mother working two jobs and using WIC to supplement my food budget. I know what it is like to need a little bit of help” says Kelly’s co-owner Lisa McClease-Kelly

The Wipe-Out Hunger Peanut Butter Drive began Monday, January 16 and continues through Friday, February 10, 2017. Only 1 set of wipers per family. In the past 4-years, Kelly’s has brought in over 4,000 jars of peanut, almond, soy and sun butter. “We specifically do the Wipe-Out Hunger drive in January to help supplement the food banks during the decline in donations,” said Dave Kelly Co-Owner of Kelly’s Automotive Service.
