Take a Scan Against Hunger
At Sherm’s Thunderbird and Sherm’s Food 4 Less
JACKSON COUNTY – During Hunger Action Month, ACCESS has teamed up with Sherm’s Thunderbird, Food 4 Less and the Shady Cove Market in fighting hunger of more than 9,000 children and seniors in Jackson County. Throughout September, customers have a chance to donate $1, $5, or $10 at the checkout stand by using Take a Scan Against Hunger scan coupons.
At the end of the month, the amount raised will be used to purchase healthy and nutritious foods for hungry local families and individuals. Every dollar donated to Take a Scan Against Hunger provides one meal for a family of 4 in Jackson County.
“The people at Sherm’s Thunderbird and Food 4 Less genuinely care about our community and ACCESS is very thankful to have them as partners. Throughout the year ACCESS feed thousands of hungry individuals and families here in Jackson County. This effort will help us to fill the need for healthy and nutritious foods into the network of 52 pantries and programs throughout Jackson County,” said Philip Yates, ACCESS Nutrition Programs Director.
