ACCESS values your participation and support and is committed to protecting your privacy. ACCESS’s site is a safe environment for anyone who visits, makes a donation, places an order, volunteers or advocates.

ACCESS maintains strict customer information privacy policies. ACCESS takes great care to ensure that your information is not compromised by unauthorized persons.
ACCESS does not sell, exchange or rent your personal information to any organization or individual. ACCESS will not divulge personal information to any other organization or individual other than that necessary to transact, fulfill and or account for online donations and purchases.
ACCESS does not share your information with telemarketing centers. ACCESS does not use telephone marketing to solicit funds. ACCESS will only use your phone number if we need to verify information or to thank you for your contribution, ask for your opinion or invite you to a special event.
What information do we collect?
When you make a donation, volunteer, order a product, advocate, schedule a food donation barrel, ACCESS may ask you for your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number as well as other relevant information (e.g. hours available to volunteer or size of T-shirt).
When you visit ACCESS's Website, ACCESS also collects some non-identifying basic information from server logs. This includes total number of visitors, pages viewed, type of browser you are using (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer), type of operating system you are using (e.g. Mac OS or Windows 2000), domain name of your Internet service provider (e.g., America Online, Earthlink) and frequently used search words.
How do we use your information?
ACCESS uses non-identifying basic information (aggregate data) to analyze site usage and to improve the content and design of the site. On occasion, ACCESS may share aggregate data with sponsors, partners and other third-party vendors to encourage fund-raising.
ACCESS uses personally identifiable information you provide about yourself:
a) to respond to your questions or comments about ACCESS services;
b) to fulfill requests to volunteer, advocate or conduct a food drive;
c) to process your donation, verify your credit card and send you a tax-deductible receipt;
d) to process your order for merchandise and verify your credit card;
e) confirm a donation or order;
f) to thank you;
g) to send you additional information about ACCESS programs, services and needs that we believe will interest you;
h) to protect the security or integrity of the site;
i) to protect against a threat of safety or destruction of property; and
j) to protect against legal liability. We list donors who contribute to ACCESS, in our newsletters & in the news paper, unless you ask that the gift be anonymous.
ACCESS may disclose to third parties aggregate statistics about donations, volunteers, orders and advocates (e.g., total number of donors, total amount of donations for specific periods, average gift size, total number of volunteers for specific projects or events, total number of advocates). These statistics will not include any personally identifying information.
If you prefer not to receive any mail or e-mail correspondence from us, please send us your request to be removed from mailing lists with your full name, address, phone number and e-mail address. How do we provide a secure environment for on-line transactions?
ACCESS on-line processing system allows you to make safe donations and purchases. ACCESS uses state-of-the-art firewalls and the latest encryption technology, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to insure that no one can read your information as it travels to ACCESS’s donation or ordering system.
On-line forms to volunteer, to advocate or to sign-up to be on a mailing list, are not encrypted.
The security measures we take may not prevent all loss, misuse or alteration of information on the site. ACCESS is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to such security failures. You understand that unauthorized third parties may access data and communications, including e-mail, when communicated via the Internet. ACCESS’s Web site includes links to other Web sites. ACCESS cannot ensure the privacy practices of other such sites.
