ACCESS Welcomes New Board Member
(Medford, OR) – ACCESS, the Community Action Agency for Jackson County, welcomes its newest board member, Isis Contreras-Harrison to its leadership team.
Isis Contreras-Harrison has lived in the Rogue Valley with her family since 1993 and is the principal at Roosevelt Elementary School in Medford. Since arriving in the valley Isis has been actively engaged in the community including frequent work with the Latino population.
She’s a member of UNETE, an organization that provides southern Oregon farm workers and immigrants with resources. Isis also serves on the board of Resolve (formerly Mediation Works) a nonprofit that helps people manage, resolve, and heal from conflict.
As Principal of Roosevelt Elementary School, Isis had the opportunity to partner with ACCESS Nutrition Director Philip Yates to provide a seasonal fresh produce giveaway to the school’s low income families.
“It’s a privilege to welcome Isis and her range of talents and experience to our board,” says ACCESS Executive Director Jackie Schad.
As the Community Action Agency of Jackson County, ACCESS has been helping Jackson County residents break the cycle of poverty since 1976. With a focus on education, ACCESS helps low-income families through economic crisis with programs designed to stabilize their basic needs and provide opportunities for long-term prosperity.
